The metaverse can be referred to as a digital space/virtual reality world that is made to look like real life environments by the use of virtual reality(VR) or the use of augmented reality(AR). In the Hebrew language where it was coined from, the word metaverse means " beyond our universe", it speaks of a universe transcending our reality. The word Metaverse is also used in the gaming industry to refer to a virtual gaming world where users have a character (avatar) that represents them in the game. Recently, blockchain technology has embraced the metaverse, making it possible for users to buy virtual lands(a piece of virtual land sold for $2.3millon on axie infinity ), properties e.t.c via the use of cryptocurrency.
